About me:I'm fairly new to these forums so thought I would put up a profile here. I'm also somewhat new to being a Boomkin as well. Here's a bit of history of me with WoW.
I started playing in TBC on a holy priest named
Bangers (now my 5th level 80 alt.) With WotLK coming out soon, and a lack of resto shaman in my guild at the time, I rerolled
shaman and hit 70 a week before the expansion release. I found myself hating the shaman playstyle and we also had a lack of resto druids so I leveled my druid to 80 (my main alt in TBC -- feral at the time) and became my guild's main tree. When that guild exploded (as many seem to do) I transferred to Magtheridon, joined Genesis, and continued to be a tree.
When my work schedule changed, I found myself unable to raid for a few months. Having assumed I would be gone permanently, they had recruited another tree to replace me. I was given the opportunity to come back if was interested in trying Boomkin. Hesitant to be DPS after being a full time healer for my entire WoW career I thought I would give it a shot while I waited for my replacement to quit/transfer/die IRL and get my tree slot back. Fortunately that never happened, and as I become less terrible, I've become a huge fan of boomkin have no desire to ever go back to being a tree.
My other alts include my main alt (or "malt" as some of us have been calling them -- it'll catch on!) is my
Arcane Mage and I also have a
Prot Paladin which I detest playing.
