I couldnt find a Festergut post yet, so I decided to make one.

Would it be an option to just take two spores and use barkskin on Pungent Blight? Like spriests, they dont need to take any spores and use dispersion on Pungent Blight to save themself.

Pungent Blight blight is on a 30 sec cd, so we should be able to use barkskin on every second aoe.

So, would this be a bad idea or an option to be able to make some more dps?

We discovered that 3 stacks isn't necessary. Two stacks should be more than enough to prevent an insta-death. However; using barksin every other blight would be a great option none the less.

He doesn't cast pungent blight every 30 seconds. He only uses it twice before the enrage, and you can barkskin them both. As to whether you /should/, that depends on your healers. Keep in mind that you don't have to just survive the exhale, you start taking pretty heavy ticks just after that. If your AE healing isn't strong, getting 3 stacks AND barkskinning it is probably a good idea.

Barkskin is under utilized in raids by most moonkins. Anytime there's raid damage, I hit it. Not only do I get the less damage, but pushback protection too!

Your thoughts for Festergut are perfectly ok, and I encourage everyone to use it.

We went for the achievement (nobody getting 3 stacks) and I popped barkskin every time on the exhale.

Well, by 'whether you should' I mean do 2 stacks and barkskin vs 3 stacks and barkskin. The barkskin part is pretty much a given

or tell the raid healers to pull their heads out of their smurfs and stop screwing around xD

2 resto druids and a holy priest on this fight make raid healing after the pungent blight trivial as hell

On 25 man, we had one guy muttering that he took 26k damage with two stacks of innoculation. I suspect you could probably survive with popping barkskin if you miss a stack, but, not sure I'd be comfortable basing my survival on this gamble =p

I agree with this statement completely. I'm almost always last on the damage taken charts. Finally, something I'm happy NOT topping.

So, just for 10man then, could you pop Barkskin without being inoculated at all and live? I know I've survived only having 2 stacks before (and no Barkskin), but trying this with no inoculation at all sounds a tad risky, as I almost ended up dead with only 2 stacks (and died shortly after since a healer went down lol).

On 25 most classes should survive with just 2 stacks, we had a warlock dc and miss one, lived just fine, we have good healers too..

I always use barkskin just to reduce the heals I need and as whis already mentioned Anytime I know there will be raid dmg that might cause spell delay I use it. I find its much better than talents in focus for instance as Its 100% and after you know a fight you know when to use it.

Did the 25man achievement Flu Shot Shortage on tuesday. Nobody is allowed to get 3 stacks of inoculated. I would get 2 stacks and save barkskin for the exhale, only taking about 40-50% of my total health in damage.
