Rogues, mages, disc priests are the best options for 2s.

with the rogue and mage you can gem more defensively, with the priest you can gem more offense.

In my opinion, try and run a double DPS. Our damage/burst is way too RNG orientated, and would be difficult to co-ordinate with a Disc Priest.

Mages/Rogues/Dest. Locks are the best options. (as far as I'm concerned)

im currently running boomkin/holy paladin, seems to be working pretty pretty well. we just destroy any melee team with a well timed bop.

boomkin/ ele shaman is my favorite combo for 2's though

I'm currently running with a disc priest, we are seeing some successes, we struggle with affliction locks + healer, and rogue/priest, double dps is fairly ez as we both have some nice cc to reply to burst, and pain suppression + 2 healers helps as well, once the burst os over I pop my trees starfall and blow one of them up

typhoon is also ideal as we are both ranged classes, in addition to some great angles on the bridge in BE arena. I glyph typhoon cd, insect swarm and starfall cds as I feel with pain suppression barkskin glyphed isn't really necessary. We are enjoying success so far this season

cheers,

Tavoc

Does everyone use 2/2 resto and balance set still?

I don't I'm 4/5 + WG shoulders at the moment, I'm running 1000 res atm so I don't have much incentive to, plus with the changes adding spellpower to our 4 set its very worth the 4 set now

I'm currently running with a combat rogue and so far we're about 50-50 win-lose, but this was from grinding a new team to 1300 rating. (Since losing doesn't really mean massive point loss). The matches usually last less than a minute due to the combined burst of his cooldowns and mine. If they somehow survive our burst, it's usually a loss if we can't survive until my partners CDs are up again.
Killing Spree is buggy so make sure if you play with someone that has it, that they understand the mechanics behind it and the potential bugs.

Last season I ran with an arcane mage and we did very well, 1720 max rating. Another very high burst combo but with more survivability. Trick is here, you're more likely to get focused and can't burst with your partner, and his CCs are subject to dispells and stuff.

I personally love playing with a combat rogue thats ICC geared, its fun watching him rip through a priest with Pain Suppression on :)

I'm finding my comp with a Resto sham is pretty good, we lost like 20 games at the start due to playing ele/hance bewm in 2s. It didn't go down well, after the switch too resto bewm, its pretty much uphill, running with 4p T10 with pvp legs + offset pieces, so keeping a nice set of stats unbuffed 24k hp, 650 resil, 30% crit and 2900+ SP (haste i can't remember :( ). The TR is still about 1600, but we are vsing people with a MMR of 1850-2100.

P.S Personally do find that mana is no prob since a majority of priests can't mana burn cause healing through burst is hard and outlast druids, priests and even shams on mana :)...

Advice, running with a healer, prepare yourself to get screwed on DK healer or Warrior Druid teams. :D

I've been running Rogue/Balance druid for quite some time, absolutely love it. It has the defensive ability and peeling capability to secure a 4-8 minute defensive fight, while it also has the cooldowns and burst available to end a fight in 30seconds to 2 minutes! Just last week we dominated the majority of teams we were facing.

We decided to just play till we lose and we went 11-1 until we finally came across UA Lock and Holy Pally which I don't think we've ever beat.

I would definitely recommend this team composition!

My Brother has a Destro Warlock.
We decided to do 2's just for points, so we switch our alts out so everyone gets some, but last week, he had already got points on his Rogue and Pally, so he was just gonna run the Warlock for all 10.

After 4 games, I quickly retired my hunter, as the Warlock/Hunter team went 1/3, it was horrible. So on game 5 I brought the Boomkin out. At game 10, we were having so much fun we went ahead and played an 11, but had to quit so the Hunter gets his points. We finished 7/4.

That night we decided to make the Warlock/Boomkin a perminent, take em as high as we can, dedicated team and rolled another arena team for the whole "Just for Points" thing. We have a lot of practice to do yet to get used to each other, but between the CC and burst Damag/off heals, we were taking teams much higher than us, sometimes getting around 40 points per match. I can't wait for more.

:ally Just to be fair, my Boomer is 2pieces Relentless/2pieces Furious with Titan Forged Legs, Wrathfull Cloak and Neck, Relentless bracers and boots, furious/Titan Rings, and the Engraved Gargoyle's Femur... Epic Gemmed and full enchants. The warlock is about the same.

:roar Next I'm going to drop enchanting and basket weaving....er Tailoring, and bring up mining/engineering for the toys: Rocket Boots, parachute cloak, glove stun, etc. I already have a 450 Enchanter on my DK, so why not.

As far as Gems: I'm running mostly Haste, with a couple of Spellpower, and I think one Hybrid Spellpower/Stamina for the requirements of the Meta Socket in the Headpiece.

My husband (feral druid) and I have started arena 2s and it seems to work pretty well :) we are just grinding to a higher rating now. Only done arena a couple days after work so far. He keeps one stunned/busy while I blast down the other... we are getting better at the coordination now and it's almost becoming more fun than raiding >.>

I've done arena with a mage and a shadow priest in 2s, both 2300+ mmr, works out nicely if you know what you're doing.

Disc priest is the WORSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

So I think I know the answer to this question already...but here goes...
I like battle grounds but hate being killed, so I gemmed for stamina (which has worked really well for me...I'm about 31K stamina, I have two wrath pieces of armor, and the rest is furious gear, 1000 resilence, and like 2500sp, I do pretty well on recount and don't die often, and in cases where I can stay back and be protected well, I switch to raid gear and clean house!

I tried a few practice rounds in arenas and was told by a few people "never gem for stamina"...so I guess I'll either need another set of gear if I want to do both arenas and BGs, or to regem my current gear? It would seem like more stamina would be helpful in arena teams...but maybe the lack of sp can't overcome the healing sp of their healer?? I have not tried all sp gems in BGs so I guess maybe I should?

How hard is it to get a team to 1800 rating to be able to buy the awesome gear? Like how much time is involved?
Thanks

You can get to 1800 with a 40% win ratio, thats how screwed up arena is at the moment.
